When it comes to purchasing an air purifier, it’s common for some consumers to buy the one with the lowest price or the one that looks the nicest.    Naturally, you don’t want to pay more than you need to and a great looking machine would be terrific, but don’t base your decisions solely on that. Instead, look at the total value of the air purifier you are considering.

Take into account the price, of course, but also the model’s efficiency.  How large and area will it cover?  Is it HEPA rated?  Will filter elements need to be changed and how much will they cost?  Finally, is it Energy Star rated.
